Our markets has it's wide range of craft products in Bangladesh and overseas. These products reflect excellent design and fine craftsmanship. The story of Bangladeshi Handicrafts comes from one the oldest civilizations of the world. The vast cultural and ethnic diversity has enabled a variety of motifs, techniques and crafts to flourish on this land. This site carries information about the various techniques and materials used to create these items; the organizations and associations involved, easy access to exporters, updates on the trade exhibitions and fairs; and much more. We enjoy in-house facilities for the designing, sales, assembly and distribution of our products throughout the world. Our products are carved out of the best quality raw material and pass through stringent quality tests at every stage of manufacturing. Our production unit is equipped with sophisticated tools and equipment that enable us to manufacture flawless equipment. Kumudini Handicraft was established in 1980, particularly for the rural women. At present more than 25,000 artisans all over Bangladesh are able to earn their living through their association with Kumudini Handicraft. The broad objectives of Kumudini Handicraft are : (1) To offer scope of economic emancipation to the rural women to improve their status in the society and give them opportunity to become active members in their family where they can be involved in policy making. (2) To give proper training to the artisans so that their work may be of high quality and can be recognised in the international market. (3) To revive the rich heritage of Bangladesh in the field of handicraft. In order to have more manpower and involve a larger number of people all over Bangladesh, Kumudini Handicraft works through other NGOs such Banchte Shekha, BRDB, Gono Unnayan Prochesta, Aranya, MCC, Save the Children Fund, World Vision Craft, HEED, Jagoroni and many others. In short, Kumudini Handicraft’s motto is to uplift the status both financial and social of Bangladeshi women, particularly of rural areas, by providing opportunity for them to display ingenuity in craftsmanship under proper quality control and through their efforts to revive the traditional crafts and specialised textiles in Bangladesh. Kumudini’s range of crafts include Nakshi Kantha, legendary Jamdani and other fine textiles, promotion of natural vegetable dyes, terracotta, ceramics, mats and basketry, wood and leather products among others. Kumudini Handicraft has 3 sales centres in Bangladesh.
